Aramco Digital has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Khafji Joint Operations (KJO) and SLB during the 2026 WPC Energy Congress in Riyadh to assess the technical and economic feasibility of developing an intelligent autonomous offshore production platform under the RAED (رائد) initiative.

The collaboration will explore the potential integration of advanced communications infrastructure, Industrial AI, edge computing, automation, robotics, and digital twin technologies to enable more autonomous offshore operations.

By combining their respective expertise, the three organizations aim to assess opportunities to enhance operational safety, reliability, efficiency, and sustainability while reducing the need for human intervention in challenging offshore environments.

The agreement reflects Aramco Digital's commitment to advancing industrial digital transformation and exploring next-generation technologies for the energy sector.
